Crosby Coffee has recently launched a crowd funding campaign to raise money for a brand new coffee shop. The new shop will have longer hours than their small roastery unit, will be open 7 days and sell their extensive retail selection of coffee and brewing equipment as well as a small breakfast and lunch menu.
The team at Crosby Coffee have found the perfect location for a new coffee shop, which will be open for longer hours than their current roastery store. They are asking for £16,000 from their crowd funding campaign which will be spent on coffee brewing and kitchen equipment. Crosby Coffee has become a household brand in their local area and sees this opportunity as the next big step for the business to progress. The roastery brew bar has become the ‘go to’ coffee jaunt since opening back in November 2014, were beautiful coffee is served alongside their amazing cake selection.
Crosby Coffee grew from a passion for coffee by founder, Jack Foster who worked in hospitality for several years after finishing university. Jack believed there was a market for speciality coffee in day to day life and really wanted to showcase what can be done in the local community when you put your mind to something. Since the business was born it has been mentioned in both editions of the Northern Independent Coffee Guide, has served VIP areas at Aintree’s prestigious Grand National event, was mentioned in The Liverpool Cook Book and even more impressively has won Producer of the Year in the Liverpool Food and Drink Awards, (an award that was entered by nearly 60 businesses of all ages across the North West) which shows just how far Jack and his team have come in such a small space of time.
“This is something we have wanted to do for a long time” said Jack. “We have found a great opportunity to really showcase everything we have worked on for the past few years and are getting really excited about being able to make this next step a reality!”
The Crosby Coffee team have created some great rewards for anyone pledging money to their new project. Gifts such as roast day experiences, coffee club memberships, training sessions and loads of other cool stuff. They have decided to fund this project using crowd funder as they see it as their customers being able to pre-buy gifts and experiences –which they believe is a great opportunity for sorting out your Christmas presents! However what this does mean is that if the team don’t raise the money they have asked for then they won’t be able to open!
Sam Hookham from Crosby Coffee said, “We are always looking to improve what we do and this next exciting step is just the beginning, we want to launch this new project for Christmas so it’s going to be a real challenge.” You can find the crowd funding page at http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/crosby-coffee-expansion-plan# or go to http://www.crosbycoffee.co.uk and follow the link.
